Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced the participation of 55 countries in the 21st Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2019), organised by DEWA under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA, and the 4th Dubai Solar Show, the region’s largest solar energy exhibition. The two exhibitions will be held from 21-23 October 2019 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the umbrella of Green Week, which aims to raise awareness on the importance of rationalisation of energy and water consumption and to promote a culture of environmental sustainability and conservation.
Seven new countries: Russia, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Chile, Ireland, and Poland are participating in WETEX for the first time. halls 1-8, Arena Hall, Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, and the 18 international pavilions at the exhibition will feature local players and entities showcasing their innovative projects and latest technologies related to the energy, water, environment and green development sectors. This will include a wide range of smart solutions in the fields of renewable energy and water, sustainability solutions and rationalisation of consumption. Leading companies and entities such as Department of Energy Abu Dhabi, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), ABB, Acwa Power, Siemens, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Ghantoot Gulf Contracting, Ducab, Future Pipe Industries, and Diamond Developers, have also confirmed their participation at WETEX 2019.

The new participating countries highlight the most prominent research, products and technologies for environmental protection, water, renewable energy, automation, reverse osmosis, UV, besides innovative products, technologies and solutions in the areas of digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, automation, big data, photovoltaic solar power generation, Concentrated Solar Power (CSP), asset management and smart solutions for the region. They will also introduce their innovative products in the fields of pressure control; sewage treatment systems; industrial and agricultural water pipes; thermal insulation technologies; wastewater disposal systems; conservation of water resources and water quality; operation and maintenance of plants; energy; thermal plant maintenance systems; desalination plants; and renewable energy services and others.
The international pavilions in WETEX and DSS 2019 include Italy, Germany, Turkey, Taiwan, Korea, China (two pavilions in both exhibitions), Switzerland, the UK, Russia, Japan, Ireland, Singapore, Brazil, Netherland, Czech Republic, Egypt, and Denmark.
