Keeping the Sultanate’s shorelines beautiful, more than 100 people gathered at Sur Al Hadid beach in Seeb recently for a voluntary beach clean-up organised by Ooredoo, in collaboration with Seeb Municipality, Be’ah al Al Hayat International Hospital. His Excellency Hilal bin Hamed Al Sarmi, a member of the Majlis Ash’shura for the wilayat of Seeb, joined the group, along with members of the Ooredoo family and students from various nearby schools. The clean-up aimed to raise awareness about the impact that littering has on Oman’s beaches and marine life, and the role of the community in making sure the country’s shores continue to be enjoyed.
Part of the company’s ‘Ooredoo Volunteers’ activities, the initiative falls under its CSR platform, ‘Ooredoo Goodwill’. It is the latest in a string of activities Ooredoo has led across the country. With more initiatives in the pipeline, it is empowering its family to play an active role in the preservation and conservation of Oman’s environment and to give a helping hand to communities.
