On September 28 The Arbor School, an ecological school based in Dubai that nurtures a core belief in environmental justice, mindfulness and sustainability, announced the launch of ‘Little Eco Parties’, nature-inspired themed birthday parties for children, catering for the environmentally-conscious families, in partnership with Little Bears Party Planners.
Following their latest initiative to provide children with sustainable school uniforms and becoming the first school to do so in the UAE, The Arbor School takes on another endeavour to increase awareness on sustainability by providing the community with sustainable offerings, a step towards changing behaviour and incorporating eco-friendly habits. In partnership with Little Bears Party Planners, The Arbor School will host and organize sustainable kids’ birthday parties, starting October 3rd, and offer three party eco-packages, all inspired by the earth and nature, the Simply Seedling, the Bee Kind and the Blooming Marvellous. Keeping the parties simple and intimate, the guests are limited to 15 children, excluding the parents.
Embracing the school’s core values of eco-literacy and sustainability, the eco-packages include paperless invitations, compostable cutlery, natural and reusable decorations, biodegradable balloons, ecological party bags, and sustainable giveaway gifts. Commenting on the recent launch, Brett Girven, Principal of The Arbor School, said: “As an ecological school and for the future of our planet, our mission is to educate the community about sustainability and the environment and to do so, we need to give them the option to choose sustainably. We are very excited to have partnered with Little Bears Party Planners to put forward these intimate yet fun and eco-conscious parties for the little ones and parents, as I strongly believe that when presented with a choice that’s sustainable over one that’s less sustainable, consumers would choose sustainable options .”
Furthermore, the catering will be provided by the Arbor School’s waste-free kitchen. The Farmhouse at the Arbor School makes full use of school-grown produce, complemented by the careful sourcing of seasonal ingredients from local and sustainable suppliers. Providing an environment that helps children connect with nature, The Arbor School is giving parents the options to choose from four different locations: the outdoor park, the Reflection Garden, a unique space in the centre of the school that brings in natural light, the dance studio and an indoor soft play area.
Parties can be booked every Friday and Saturday between 10 and 12 pm, 12 and 2 pm and 2 to 4 pm, with prices of packages starting at DHS 1,500.
