Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) launches ‘Green Zone’, a platform which will allow the exhibitors of the three shows under MECTW, to showcase their eco-friendly products. Eco-friendly products, green cleaning and sustainable development have become the key topics of discussion for the cleaning industry, here in the region and globally. Industry experts expect the global market for sustainable cleaning products to be valued at USD 51 billion by 2021
Dubai holds the third position amongst global cities with the highest number of green buildings, under both LEED and BREEAM. Industries like Real Estate, Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare and many more are aggressively working towards sustainability goals in UAE and other parts of the Middle East.
This year, The Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW), is keen to address the importance of going green, and the ‘Green Zone’, the dedicated area within the exhibition, will allow the industry to source eco-friendly/green products. These products will have to be certified from a recognised body to be a part of the Green Zone thus meeting the requirements of specific standard. 80% of the zone is occupied and continues to attract more companies to register and display their eco-friendly products.
The leading international show, for the cleaning and hygiene sector will see participation from prominent regional and international companies showcasing their latest innovations across three expos – Clean Middle East Pulire, Gulf Laundrex-Linen Care Expo Powered by EXPOdetergo International and Gulf Car Wash-Car Care Expo at the Dubai World Trade Centre from November 7 – 9, 2017.
The Green Zone will take you through many new eco-friendly products like detergents, sanitizers and disinfectants, indoor air quality products, wet wipes, air fresher products and a wide range of cleaning equipment. These products will help reduce the use of water and chemicals and will boost health and environmental cleanliness. The Green Zone will benefit the buyers and also impact organizations’ sustainability efforts by reducing energy consumption, and carbon footprint.
Talking about sustainability, Diversey Inc., partner for Green Zone, has a long-standing commitment to sustainability, which will continue now that they are an independent company. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in the efforts to improve lives in the communities where Diversey Inc. operates and in the focus on environmental responsibility. Introducing the Green Zone in MECTW 2017, Jayaraman Nair, Chairman of VIS Exhibitions & Conferences, organiser of Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) said, “As organizers our aim is to constantly innovate, finding the best possible platform for our exhibitors and visitors, and the ‘green zone’ is exactly what the regional cleaning and hygiene industry needs right now. The demand for sustainable green products is constantly rising, even as governments across the region are aggressively pushing their green initiatives. Companies now have a global platform to showcase their eco-friendly products, and more importantly, engage directly with customers actively looking for these industry leading products.”
The 2017 edition of Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) will provide a perfect opportunity for visitors to network with players from various industry verticals including automobile and laundry services, as well as companies from waste management, hospitality industry, facility management and building maintenance services.
