Tom Lindberg and Stein Amble Haugen, Managing Director and Key Account Manager of ECOHZ, are available for interviews during the World Future Energy Summit 17-18 January 2017 in Abu Dhabi.

ECOHZ supports companies that are making a commitment to using renewable energy, by documenting the origin of their energy supply to ensure compliance.

Some of the world’s most influential companies have made a commitment to using 100% renewable power by 2020 as part of a global initiative called RE100. Companies know that they need to change their energy behaviour, as global reporting standards require transparency on sustainability and environmental initiatives, and stakeholders’ expectations in this area are increasing. Documenting origin is the only way companies can ensure 100% renewable energy consumption.

We would like to offer you a one-on-one interview with Mr Lindberg and Mr Haugan in Abu Dhabi before or during the World Future Energy Summit 17-18 January 2017.

Mr Lindberg and Mr Haugan can comment on:

●     Increased corporate renewable energy demand in the Gulf: The world’s most influential companies have committed to using 100% renewable electricity by 2020 under RE100. “It is called RE100, not RE95, because companies are demanding renewable energy solutions in all regions where they operate, including in the Gulf countries, to document and report that the energy they consume comes from renewable energy sources,” says Mr Lindberg.

●     International RECs (I-RECs) help RE100 companies reach their 100% renewable energy goals: Companies can buy I-RECs to document and report that the energy they consume outside Europe and North America comes from renewable energy sources. “This new global standard is being introduced in a growing number of countries where no similar scheme exists, like in the Gulf,” says Mr Lindberg. Unilever recently purchased I-RECs from ECOHZ to document their renewable energy usage, as part of their global renewable energy ambition.

●     Demand for I-RECs in the Gulf: Multinational companies with operations in the Gulf are looking for solutions to document and report that the energy they use comes from renewable energy sources. “Given the Gulf’s abundance of solar power and global companies’ presence here, there is an imminent demand for I-RECs in the Gulf. That is why we are attending the World Future Energy Summit this week,” says Mr Haugan.
