Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the State of Qatar, praised the tireless efforts made by the UAE in its presidency of the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28), and coming up with impressive results during the successful summit, lauding the UAE’s role in drafting sustainable initiatives that benefit the world and GCC region.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of his attendance at the COP28 meetings in Dubai, the Qatari Minister of Environment and Climate Change added that he visited the UAE pavilion, where he was briefed on many sustainable initiatives in the transition to renewable energy and the circular economy fields, pointing out that COP28 witnesses a remarkable presence and turnout of representatives of countries around the world in order to showcase their innovative services and products.

He also called for the need to invest in the climate summit, come up with important recommendations that benefit the world’s population, support developing countries, and develop innovative solutions to address the repercussions of climate change.
