The Organizing Committee of the 24th World Energy Congress, has announced that the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA) actively support the 2019 Congress by joining the list of participants in the exhibition which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates under the theme "Energy for Prosperity" 2019, in the capital Abu Dhabi.
ESMA will present the most prominent legislations and technical regulations related to the rationalization of energy consumption, maintaining the health and safety of the consumer, protecting the environment, and the role of the UAE in leading this file at the regional and international levels.
The slated event, the longest-running and most influential energy event in the world, will take place in Abu Dhabi on Sept. 9-12, 2019 under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Al Neyadi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Energy and Industry, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, HE Abdullah Al Maeeni, Director General of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology.
It will be one of the participants in drawing the future of the global energy sector, reviewing the achievements of the UAE in the sector of legislation and technical regulations in front of this world leading elite. HE. Al Maeeni said.
HE Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi said that the presence of ESMA will be an addition to the quality of the exhibition accompanying the activities of the WEC and the great role of "ESMA" in the development of regulations and legislations that contribute to the rationalization of energy consumption.
The Global Energy Conference serves as a platform for global dialogue that brings heads of state, ministers, industry leaders together with policy makers and non-governmental organizations from around the world to discuss developments in the energy sector and the challenges they face.
