ENOC Group received two prestigious awards for implementing innovative energy management initiatives within its retail and lubricants businesses.
The Group was awarded for ‘Best Green Excellence in Innovation’ at the Sri Lanka Green Future Leadership Awards for its retail business and the ‘Energy Management Insight Award’ at the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Energy Management Leadership Awards in recognition of its lubricants portfolio.
ENOC’s retail business was recognised for launching the UAE’s first solar-powered service station in Dubai, while the Group’s lubricant portfolio was commended for having certified their energy management systems (EnMS) to the global ISO 50001 standard.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC, said: “We have invested US$9.5 million on energy and resource management initiatives across the Group, achieving a cumulative savings of $7.6 million over the last three years. Since the inception of the first green station in 2011, we have consistently innovated to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and resource management in alignment with our role as a national player.”
The Energy Management Leadership Awards of the global CEM is a prestigious global forum of 24 countries and the European Commission that recognises companies that have their energy management systems certified to the global ISO 50001 standard.
The Group is complementing national efforts with the introduction of several advanced technologies and innovations.
Additionally, ENOC has introduced the installation of a number of innovative technologies such as the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), Vapor Recovery System (VR), Advanced Dispenser System, Advanced Fuelling System, Ozone-Free Refrigerant, Motion Sensor LED Lighting, Electric Vehicle Chargers, usage of recycled water for car washes, digital wall displays and a variety of smart payment methods within its operations.
