Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, has been awarded the Dubai Chamber Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, label for the fourth year consecutively, in recognition of its commitment to achieving sustainable development and its CSR efforts.
The award highlights Empower’s established culture of environmental awareness among its employees, customers, and community members.
Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said, “Empower has been awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR label for its global excellence in district cooling, its commitment to protecting the environment by focusing on sustainable development and delivering innovative solutions based on district cooling globally.”
“At Empower, we work to establish and promote CSR, by launching a series of voluntary, charity, and humanitarian initiatives. We follow the humanitarian approach established by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. We also work under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to promote CSR among the organisations and the society,” Bin Shafar continued.
Empower’s agenda for the Year of Zayed embraces initiatives and activities that target customers, employees and the community.
The Dubai Chamber CSR label aims to build a responsible and sustainable business community that adopts the best practices to meet the needs and aspirations of organisations, as well as their customers. Companies that win this label gain the trust of both customers and society. The label is a tool for organisations to identify opportunities and risks in their strategy, and measure the impact of their operations on the environment and society.
