The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport at the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, ADM, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police and Tadweer, continues to achieve the goals of the ‘Green Abu Dhabi‘ campaign, which aims to preserve various species of trees, including palm trees, green spaces, landscaping, and median plantations.

The campaign seeks to support the green drive by Abu Dhabi and reflects the keen attention of the wise leadership to continue the distinguished landscaping project.

The campaign has so far succeeded in the emergency maintenance of more than 4,286 date trees and 659 trees of different species. Service works also covered more than 188,668 square metres of green area, 79,291 land covers, 3,600 longitudinal metres of plant fencing, 18,230 shrubs, and 4,022 date trees.

The works included the removal of 325 damaged trees of different species, including 196 palm trees, 17,960 square metres of green area, and 6,020 square metres of land cover.

The removal of decayed trees and plantations reiterates the municipality’s eagerness to improve the appearance of the city.
