His Excellency Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, highlighted the fundamental role local agricultural firms and farms play in advancing the UAE’s food diversity drive through boosting domestic agricultural production.
His Excellency Dr Al Zeyoudi’s comments followed a tour of Emirates Bio Farm (EBF) in Al Ain, the largest private organic farm in the UAE, where he was briefed on the farm’s operations and the training programs it offers to undergraduates. His Excellency Dr Al Zeyoudi explored areas of cooperation with the farm management to promote organic farming methods and transfer EBF’s successful model to other farms.
The tour aligned with the Minister’s commitment to supporting private ventures and helping businesses reach their full potential through eliminating the obstacles they face and enabling them to grow.
Spanning an area of 250 square kilometers and producing 55 types of organic crops of the highest quality, EBF offers convenient home delivery of fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, and eggs through its website and app.
