Sustainable innovation is the focus of a program of events that Ferrari will hold in Maranello from 20 to 26 June, with the aim of engaging with its stakeholders and continuing to act as a catalyst for change.
The center and inspiration of the meetings will be the new e-building, which will be inaugurated on 21 June by Italian President Sergio Mattarella. The new building, characterized by high production flexibility and a strong focus on the environment and people, has the capacity to produce the future Ferrari range equipped with thermal, hybrid and electric engines.
The inauguration will be preceded by a workshop dedicated to Ferrari Partners, held for the second consecutive year in collaboration with Banco Santander. The meeting, to be held on 20 June, aims to share experiences and concrete practices for reducing environmental impact with about 30 of the company’s partners. Among the various activities, Architect Mario Cucinella, Founder & Design Director of MCA – Mario Cucinella Architects, will describe his collaboration with the Ferrari team to design the e-building, a vanguard of sustainable architecture.
Employees are the Company’s main source of innovation and growth. For them, their family members and friends, the doors of the Ferrari plants and Museums will open on the weekend of 22 and 23 June in a highly anticipated event, FamilyDay. The event returns after five years with a record edition in terms of attendance, and for the first time it will grant access to several departments that have never been open to the public before. The tour will highlight the sustainable innovation that fuels the constant evolution of plants and production processes. This is an evolution in which Ferrari’s people are an active part thanks to the thousands of proposals they submit each year, often making a contribution to reducing emissions: one example is the solutions adopted for heat recovery during engine testing.
The Podio Ferrari event on 26 June is dedicated to suppliers, another key part of the Company’s innovative drive. This annual event will bring together some 700 companies for a discussion on their contribution to sustainable innovation, which is increasingly central to the Company’s supply chain.
