The "Technology and Innovation Hub" at COP28 serves as a comprehensive platform, bringing together over 50 local and international entities to showcase their capabilities in advanced technology fields. The hub provides an opportunity for companies to exchange expertise to build a sustainable future for humanity.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) highlights the hub’s numerous qualitative initiatives supporting communities’ ability to adapt to climate challenges. This is achieved through increased reliance on advanced technology, innovation, space, climate, and industrial sustainability.

Additionally, the initiatives support international industrial and technological companies, reflecting the UAE’s prominent role as a trusted hub for climate technology development.

The hub hosts various events, dialogues, and knowledge exchanges on the capacity of technology to address challenges such as disease monitoring, disaster prediction, emergency coordination, and providing assistance.

The hub also empowers a just energy transition, tackles challenges like carbon removal from emission-intensive sectors, and explores access to funding for adopting and expanding advanced technology and carbon removal techniques that offer solutions to these challenges.

The goal is to enhance efforts in sustainable industrial development, research, and development, focusing on minimising the impact of climate change on youth. This includes promoting their integration into climate action efforts and providing technological solutions that facilitate climate-related education and skills development.

COP28 features the "Technology and Innovation Center," sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the UAE Space Agency, and the Office of the UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change (OSECC).
