After eight years of dedicated effort, BOCA is proud to release its Sustainability Manifesto, a comprehensive 30+ page document outlining the restaurant’s commitment to responsible food and beverage and hospitality practices that prioritize the environment, resources, and people. The manifesto aligns with the UAE National Agenda for sustainable development and serves as a blueprint for others looking to create a sustainable practice.
BOCA’s Sustainability Manifesto is built on five key pillars: Championing local produce, proactive and conscious waste management, valuing resources, reporting carbon emissions and sustainability ratings, and sustainability for the community. These principles have guided BOCA’s sustainability journey, and the restaurant has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise on how to instill a sustainable mindset in food and beverage operations.
This is a live document and although BOCA recognizes that there is still much work to be done, the restaurant remains committed to its five sustainability pillars. By sharing its manifesto, BOCA aims to inspire others to take action and join the sustainability movement.
