Project Maji, a UAE-based safe water enterprise and e-commerce platform Ishro have joined hands to support sustainable access to safe water in rural communities across Sub-Saharan Africa. The partnership is designed to ensure wins for all: Each product sold at Ishro website can now be donated to Project Maji, doubling the chances of winning a high-value prize for the buyer whilst providing safe water access to remote rural communities Project Maji serves.
How it works
Through its website www.ishro.com and Mobile App, Ishro offers a range of products – each one qualifying the buyer to win a high-value prize through a lucky-draw. Buyers can now opt to donate their Ishro product to Project Maji and:
- Double the chances of winning a high-value prize
- Transform lives through water by donating their prize value
Every product donated, provides a family access to water for a day. The overarching goal is to fund multiple solar-powered water kiosk every year through product sales. Project Maji will share the GIS data of the Ishro-sponsored site using real-time maps. The fundraising partnership is approved by Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department of the Dubai Government, permit number 3921.
