Smart Automation Energy (SmartAE), the UAE-based, award-winning, energy-efficiency company, is proud to announce that it is now fully accredited to carry out projects under the SHAMS Dubai program.
The initiative, part of Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy (DIES) 2030, is in line with the United Arab Emirates government’s vision to make Dubai one of the smartest cities in the world.
The programme aims to encourage the production of solar energy and supports the diversification of the energy mix by promoting the use of clean renewable energy sources. SHAMS Dubai specifically allows building owners to connect their solar pv systems to the DEWA grid, converting excess solar generation to credit, which offsets future bills.
“We are very pleased that we are now fully accredited by the SHAMS Dubai programme. Since inception our objective has been to contribute to a sustainable and greener future through our services and solutions,” said Issa Azar, CEO, Smart AE.
“The Net Zero Energy (NZE) concept is dictating the future of the built environment in the region due to its consistency with the region’s mandate towards a greener economy, enhanced living conditions, and reduced Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Smart AE has pursued the quest towards providing its clients free energy with turnkey NZE solutions by integrating top-of-the-line solar PV services with Smart AE’s well-established intelligent efficiency solutions,” he continued.
Smart AE’s solar PV service promises low-cost, worry-free solar generation for unutilised spaces of residential and commercial rooftops and carparks. Since the inception of the SHAMS Dubai Programme in 2015, Smart AE’s solar PV portfolio includes 4.9 MWp that is fully operational and connected to the grid.
With Solar PV systems on over 40 buildings in the UAE, Smart AE’s team of engineers and technicians is well versed in meeting the challenges brought by complex designs, multiple-site installations, and local government regulations and standards.
The company has recently received full ESCO accreditation, the highest certification that an energy efficiency company can obtain from the Government of Dubai. ESCO accreditation is awarded to companies that have a proven track record of delivering successful energy efficiency projects, technology-based solutions via a qualified team of professionals.
