As the UAE continues to climb the ranks of the Global Entrepreneurship Index – now in 19thposition – the return of ScaleUp UAE has never been more important. Taking place on 28th February in Dubai, the key event addresses the challenges and highlights the opportunities presented to entrepreneurs as they transition from start-up to scale up.
Organized by Endeavor UAE, the local chapter of the global entrepreneurial organization Endeavor, the one day event brings together industry heavyweights including Ronaldo Mouchawar, founder & CEO, Souq.com; Mona Ataya, CEO and co-founder Mumzworld; Mudassir Sheikha, co-founder & CEO, Careem; Donna Benton, founder & CEO, The Entertainer Group; and Khaled Talhouni, Managing Partner, Wamda Capital who will talk candidly about their first hand business experiences and deep dive in to the critical topics facing entrepreneurs looking to scale in today’s market. These include:
· Dealing with the new dimension of competition that emerges with growth
· How to balance the pressure of growth during difficult market conditions
· Finding, managing, retaining and optimizing the best senior talent to scale a business
· Funding for later stage growth and the state of the funding landscape
Business leaders will also participate in interactive question and answer sessions on the challenges, best practices and approaches to scaling-up in the MENA region.
