In his recent address, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy stated that the UAE government seeks to ensure AED500 million in financial aid and in-kind support by UAE-based companies in furtherance of their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during 2017.
2017 was declared the “Year of Giving” with activities developed to cover six main themes, CSR, volunteerism, the developmental role of humanitarian organisations, legislative systems and government policies, media, and serving the nation.
The newly aired website https://www.csruae.ae , presents the 11 formal initiatives as part of the UAE National agenda to support, encourage, recognise and reward companies and organisations for their contributions. The new endowment law will also be discussed on this meetup.
This meetup will focus on the role of CSR, contributions and Sustainability in regard to national priorities, the mandatory application of CSR in the UAE and ways forward for the private, public and third sector.
