The UAE’s largest Nursery chain, British Orchard Nursery was recognised for its sustainability efforts and conferred the “Golden Peacock Award for Sustainability” at the 18th London Global Convention. The pre-school won this coveted award amongst the corporate giants such as Dubai Customs, Emirates National Oil Company, Reliance Industries, Nokia and others. Golden Peacock Awards, instituted by Institute of Directors (IOD) in 1991, are regarded as Holy Grail of Corporate Excellence Worldwide.

The award was presented by Mr. Alok Sharma, the honorable Minister of State for Employment, Govt. of UK and Baroness Verma, Global Chairperson Advisory Council, IOD and Chairperson European External Affairs Committee. As a distinguished speaker during the Global Business Meet at the 18th London Convention, Dr. Vandana spoke about the global benchmarks for sustainability in education domain, presenting examples from UAE.
